The mining cités of Beringen, with the working-class neighbourhoods behind them, form a neighbourhood permeated with mining history and the garden suburb idea. However, the cités have largely lost their collectivity.

Together with Stramien and Vectris, Endeavour looked at how we can transform this super-diverse, highly individual and yet charming place into a quality and future-proof neighbourhood.

For this master plan, Endeavour made several tailor-made trajectories with local residents, sports associations, the management of be-MINE, the local parents' committee, renovation experts and the municipality itself.

By working on these different tracks, a master plan was developed that not only made statements on a supra-local level (neighbourhood renovation, public space, be-MINE, etc.), but also on the level of the own street and the private home.
